The rapid development of consumers searching for information and shopping online has also reached house manufacturers. The same research and purchase behavior that we see in much “simpler” industries – for example, fashion or home electronics – increasingly characterizes today’s purchasing process in the housing industry.

How do you give the customer the correct information at the right time during the customer journey, from early research and inspiration to increasingly detailed facts and preparations to finally offering the customer the opportunity to build their house online?

Smålandsvillan learned from how industry colleagues acted but then chose its own course, aiming to offer the market’s best customer experience.

Solution

A new web platform was developed on EpiServer CMS, where simplicity, security, and clarity were the watchwords when designing the web and customer experience. With functions for personalized information and a concept for market automation, we were able to ensure that the right information was presented to the right visitors at the right time.

On smålandsvillan.se, you can find all the information about how to buy a house and in-depth information about each house model. What solidified Smålandsvillan’s leading position was the development of the so-called Husbyggaren.

Husbyggaren is a wholly customized sales platform and house configurator where the customer can create their dream house, test different choices, save, and finally send a complete document to Smålandsvillan’s salesperson who can take the process further in the same platform before the final contract signing. Husbyggaren is fully integrated with CRM and business systems to streamline the sales process for Smålandsvillan.

Result

Since smålandsvillan.se launched in spring 2017, over 10,000 houses have been built in Husbyggaren. It has quickly become Smålandsvillan’s most important sales channel and has immediately affected sales. Since the launch, Smålandsvillan has further strengthened its position in the market, and in the future, there is a complete focus on continuing to invest digitally.

Award-winning at Episerver Web Awards 2018

In addition to the customers’ warm reviews of smålandsvillan.se and Husbyggaren, SmålandsVillan, and Ninetech received further recognition for this successful venture during the EpiServer Web Awards 2018. There, smålandsvillan.se was named “Best Lead Generating Website” by a jury that, among other things, noted that
